Frost & Sullivan recently revealed that centrifugal pumps in India earned revenues of Rs. 7464.3 crore in 2013 which is expected to grow to Rs. 11,250.44 crore in 2018 due to compound annual growth of 8.6%. The Indian government has been investing on key infrastructure like highways, roads, railways & power. The increase in urbanization has directed the focus toward water conservation & waste water management systems. The surging demand of centrifugal pumps in the oil & gas industry and metals & mining industry has triggered to the increased production of centrifugal pumps by India’s leading pump manufacturers. However, there is another demand coming through the same source – to build pumps that are energy efficient and offer industries to use less energy & leave less carbon footprints.
